How to set up an EarthRover (Unboxing guide)

Now that you've received your EarthRover, we'll guide you through the unboxing and setup.

2. EarthRover Zero

What's in the box?

When you open your Earth Rover Zero package, you will find the following items:

  1. EarthRover Zero Unit

  2. 2 pcs Extra Lens Caps: Use these as replacements for your rover's lenses if needed.

  3. Adhesive Tape: This is provided to attach the flag to your EarthRover.

  4. Flag and Flag Pole: Attach the flag to make your rover more visible during operation.

  5. Charger and Universal Adapter: Use these to charge your EarthRover's battery.

  6. Dowel Pins: Insert these to protect your bot's camera from any potential harm.

  7. Screws and Screwdriver: These are included for assembling and maintaining different parts of the rover.

EarthRover Zero Setup Guide

After opening your Earth Rover Zero, please follow these step-by-step instructions to set it up properly.

Step 1: Lift and Align the Head

  • Press the button on both sides of the bot simultaneously to lift the head part of the bot.

  • Once lifted, align the head properly.

Step 2: Secure the Head

  • Use the screws provided to secure the head in place. Make sure it is firmly attached.

Step 3: Attach the Pole Mounts and Flag

  • Locate the pole mount on the side of the bot and screw the pole onto their designated positions securely.

  • Use the adhesive tape provided to attach the flag to the flagpole.

Step 4: Attach the Flag and insert the threaded dowel pin

  • Lastly, insert the threaded dowel pin under the front camera and back camera of the bot to protect it from any potential harm.
