Professional Stage Parameters

Updated this week

The Professional Stage is the primary professional trading phase at Funded Futures Family. It provides a structured, rules-based environment designed to reward consistency, maintain capital discipline, and support long-term growth. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the parameters outlined in this article apply equally to Pro and Live Professional Stage accounts.

Professional Stage Account Types / Market Data

The Professional Stage consists of two account types operating under the same rules framework:

  • Pro Account Platform: Tradovate Market data: Included / No separate data subscription is required

  • Live Account Platform: Rithmic Market data: Not included; managed through the broker/data provider. Traders are responsible for selecting and maintaining required market data. Data availability, pricing, and billing are determined by the broker/data provider and is subject to changes. Market data setup assistance is available through the Live Desk.

Account Tiers

Professional Stage accounts may be issued in the following tiers:

  • $50,000

  • $100,000

  • $150,000

All tiers operate under the same Professional Stage rules, with tier-specific risk parameters defined in the relevant policy articles.

Risk Framework

Professional Stage accounts operate under Risk Management oversight and include the following components:

  • Personalized Max Drawdown, assigned per account

  • End-of-Position (EOP) Drawdown, as defined in the Drawdown Guidelines

  • Daily Loss Limit (DLL), governed by the Scaling Plan

Starting Position Size and Scaling

All Professional Stage accounts begin with:

  • 5 micro contracts

Increases to contract size, DLL adjustments, and any transition to minis are handled exclusively through the Scaling Plan and require Live Desk approval.

Profit Split

All Professional Stage accounts operate under a fixed profit split:

  • 80% to the trader / 20% to FFF

This split applies at all stages and for all account tiers.

Withdrawals

Withdrawals are governed by the Withdrawal Policy and include:

  • Defined eligibility requirements

  • Qualified Trading Day thresholds

  • Required post-withdrawal buffers

All withdrawal requests are subject to eligibility review prior to processing.

Qualified Trading Days

A Qualified Trading Day is defined as a trading day with at least $200 in realized profit.

Qualified Trading Days are used solely to determine withdrawal stage eligibility and do not affect scaling, drawdown behavior, or account status.

Performance Check Account (PCA)

If a Professional Stage account reaches a risk level determined by Risk Management, the trader may be reassigned to a Performance Check Account (PCA).

The PCA is a structured review process used to evaluate consistency and risk discipline before Professional Stage trading may continue. PCA rules, eligibility, and outcomes are detailed in the PCA Guidelines article.

Account Failure and Inactivity

A Professional Stage account may be closed if:

  • The EOP Drawdown is breached

  • The Daily Loss Limit is breached

  • Core risk parameters are violated

  • A PCA is not successfully completed (if applicable)

  • Extended inactivity or lack of communication occurs

Inactivity exceptions may be considered when communicated in advance to the Live Desk.

Summary

The Professional Stage framework establishes a consistent, enforceable trading environment across both Pro and Live accounts. By standardizing risk controls, scaling, withdrawals, and operational expectations - while limiting differences to platform and data handling - FFF ensures fairness, discipline, and long-term sustainability for all Professional Stage traders.
