Account Violations (Hard Breach)

A Hard Breach is a serious violation of our trading rules. It occurs when a trader exceeds either the maximum Daily Loss limit or the Total Drawdown limit.

When a Hard Breach occurs, the account is immediately closed and can no longer be traded.

1. Max Daily Drawdown – 3%

1. Max Daily Drawdown – 3% (Dynamic)

What does this mean?

The maximum daily loss limit is 3% of your daily starting balance.

How is it calculated?

The daily drawdown is calculated daily at 12:00 AM UTC (midnight) based on your account balance or equity. Your equity must not drop by more than 3% of your initial account balance in a single trading day.

Example:

For a $100,000 account, the daily drawdown limit is $3,000. If your account balance or equity drops below $97,000, you will exceed your daily loss limit.

2. Max Total Drawdown – 6% (Static)

What does this mean?

The maximum total drawdown is a static drawdown set at 6% of your initial account balance. Unlike a trailing drawdown, this limit does not move as your equity increases or decreases it stays fixed at 6% below your starting balance for the life of the account.

Example:

For a $100,000 account, the maximum total drawdown limit is $6,000. This means your account equity must not drop below $94,000 at any point.

- If your account grows to $110,000, your drawdown limit remains $94,000 it does not rise with your equity.

- If your account drops to $95,000, your drawdown limit is still $94,000 you have not breached the rule yet.

- Only when your equity drops below $94,000 is the account closed for a hard breach.

Understanding the 1.5% Max Risk Rule

If your combined floating (unrealized) loss across all active positions reaches -1.5% of your initial account balance at any moment, the account will be permanently closed.

This rule enforces strict risk management and prevents excessive losses.

Example: On a $50,000 account, if your combined open trade losses across all active positions reach -$750 (-1.5% of your initial balance), the account will be immediately closed.

Note - The 1.5% Max Risk Rule is an additional risk management rule and applies independently of the 3% Daily Drawdown and 6% Static Maximum Drawdown. All three rules must be respected at all times.
