Account Violations (Hard Breach)
A Hard Breach is a serious violation of our trading rules. It occurs when a trader exceeds either the maximum Daily Loss limit or the Total Drawdown limit.
When a Hard Breach occurs, the account is immediately closed and can no longer be traded.
1. Max Daily Drawdown – 3%
1. Max Daily Drawdown – 3% (Dynamic)
What does this mean?
The maximum daily loss limit is 3% of your daily starting balance.
How is it calculated?
The daily drawdown is calculated daily at 12:00 AM UTC (midnight) based on your account balance or equity. Your equity must not drop by more than 3% of your initial account balance in a single trading day.
For a $10,000 account, the daily drawdown limit is $300. If your account balance or equity drops below $9700, you will exceed your daily loss limit.
2. Max Total Drawdown – 5% (Trailing)
What does this mean?
5% trailing loss limit that moves up with equity gains until it reaches the initial balance, then becomes fixed.
Example:
$10K Account → 5% Trailing Drawdown = $500 Loss Limit
$10K Account: Starts with a $500 trailing drawdown.
Equity reaches $10.3K: Drawdown moves to $9.8K.
If equity later drops below $10.3K, the drawdown stays at $9.8K — it does not move down.
Equity reaches $10.5K: Drawdown moves to $10K and becomes fixed.
Equity reaches $11K: Drawdown remains fixed at $10K.
3. Understanding the 1% Max Risk Rule
If your combined floating (unrealized) loss across all active positions reaches -1% of your initial account balance at any moment, the account will be permanently closed.
Example: On a $10,000 account, if your combined open trade losses reach -$100 (-1% of your initial balance), the account will be immediately closed.
15-Minute Reverse Trade Rule
If a Buy or Sell trade closes at TP or SL, you cannot open an opposite position on the same pair for 15 minutes.
Example:
10:00 AM → Buy Gold
10:05 AM → Trade closes at TP/SL
Until 10:20 AM → No Sell trade on Gold.
