🌍 What is Geo-Fencing?

Geo-fencing lets you define areas where your team cannot book workspaces on Gable. Locations inside your geo-fence will not appear on the map or in search results for your team.

💡 Tip: A common use case is blocking bookings near your Company Offices so employees use your company office instead of on-demand spaces.

⚙️ How to Set a Geo-Fence

  1. 🏢 Go to Company Settings

    • Sign in as a Company Admin

    • Open the Settings tab from the top-right dropdown or the dashboard menu

  2. 📍 Open the Geo-Fencing Tool

    • Go to the Locations tab

    • Select Geo-Fencing

  3. 🚫 Add a Restricted Area

    • Enter the address where you want to restrict bookings (e.g., your Company Office)

    • Set the radius (distance from that address to block bookings)

    • (Optional) Apply the restriction to specific space types

  4. 💾 Save Your Settings

    • Click Save or + Add another to add more restricted zones

🔍 Example: United States View

In the Locations settings, you can:

  • Enable or disable entire countries (e.g.,United States, France, Germany)

  • Enable or disable entire states (e.g., California, Texas, New York)

  • Fine‑tune by enabling/disabling individual cities within a state (e.g., Miami, Orlando, Tampa)

  • Use “Select entire state” for quick bulk updates

✅ Allowing All Locations

If you don’t want to restrict bookings, toggle Enable all locations under the Location Settings section.

📌 Best Practices

  • 🔄 Review geo-fence settings quarterly to ensure they still match your company’s needs

  • 🏢 Keep your HQ and other company-owned offices inside the restricted area

  • 🎯 Use specific space type restrictions when you want to block only certain workspace types
