How to enter a forecast
1. You can enter a forecast based on the total portions of a recipe or the specific amount of an ingredient. Click on the field and type in the total servings if forecasting by recipe
2. When forecasting by ingredient, you can chose a preferred unit by expanding the recipe and clicking on the ingredient measurement
3. Select the desired unit from the drop down list.
3. Now you can enter the amount based on the selected unit.
4. The number of servings and amount needed for other ingredients is automatically calculated. Press Tab to move to the next field.
Adding items that aren't on the menu
If you'll serve something that isn't on the published menu — a special, an extra option, or a leftover — you can add it to the day while planning:
Hover over a meal category and click the + button to add a recipe directly to that section, or
Click the green recipe button in the bottom-right to open the recipe book, then drag a recipe onto the day you want.
Once added, the item behaves like any other recipe on the production record — you can give it a forecast and confirm it. Recipes you saved as leftovers on a previous day also appear in the recipe book and can be dragged onto the day you plan to serve them.
How To Confirm Forecasts
1. You can confirm one day at a time by clicking the "Confirm" button on the PR card
2. Or you can do a bulk confirmation by opening the "Tools" menu and clicking "Confirm all forecasts"
