Where to Find Carbohydrate Counts in Gaia

Which report to check for carbohydrate counts depending on what you need: one recipe, a day or week of menus, or a bulk list of items.

Where you look for carbohydrate counts depends on what you need them for: one dish, a stretch of menus, or a list of items. Use the guide below to find the right one.

One Recipe

Open the recipe and go to its Nutrition tab. The Nutrition Facts Panel shows Total Carbohydrate per serving, along with the rest of the nutrition facts. To share or print it, use Scale & Print Recipe to export it at the serving size you need.

Best for: answering a question about one specific dish, like a recipe a student or parent is asking about.

A Day or Week of Menus

Open the menu plan and go to Nutrition Analysis. Daily Nutrition Analysis shows the carbohydrate count for every recipe offered on a given day. If you want one total that accounts for how many students actually took each offering, run Weighted Daily or Weekly Weighted Nutrient Analysis instead. See Nutrition Analysis Reports for how each one works.

Nutrition Analysis reports live inside the menu plan view, not on the main Reports page.

Best for: totals across a day or week, like reviewing what's on the menu before a student's appointment.

A List of Items

Open the Pantry, add nutritional data as a column on a view (or use one that already shows it), and export it. Carbohydrate counts export as their own column, so you get every item in the view at once. See About the Pantry and Export a Pantry View for how views and exports work.

Best for: bulk lookups, like building a reference list of carb counts for items on your à la carte line.
