💳 GemCard FAQ

Updated over a week ago

What is a GemCard?

GemCard is a prepaid virtual USD card linked to your GemBet account. You can:

  • 💸 Withdraw funds from GemBet and spend them on everyday stuff (groceries, fuel, shopping, online, etc.)

  • 🔁 Move funds back from your GemCard into GemBet
(Heads up: a 1x turnover applies only when you redeposit to GemBet)

  • 📲 Add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay for easy tap-to-pay

Who is eligible for a GemCard?

GemCards are a VIP-only perk

If you have VIP status, you can request yours directly from the withdrawal cashier by selecting “Get your GemCard”.

Is this safe to use?

Yes – totally 🔒

GemCards are issued through a licensed card provider (Sunrate - Alex Pay). Your details are encrypted, and your balance is fully backed.

That’s also why you might not see the GemBet logo when adding the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay — the card is issued via our licensed partner, but it works exactly as your GemCard.

Why does the app say “AlexPay”?

Good catch 👀

AlexPay is our technical partner and card issuer behind GemCard. You may see that name in the app, but for you, it functions exactly as your GemCard.

Are these stolen or recycled cards?

Absolutely not ❌

Each GemCard is unique, securely issued, and linked only to your account.

How do I log in to the GemCard app?

Username & Password can be found in the email you received upon GemCard Registration

I deleted the email – how do I find my username and password?

No worries 😌

Just reach out to us on LiveChat, and our team will help you out right away.

We’re available 24/7.

Do I need to verify my email?

No need. We’ve already taken care of that for you 🙌

If the app asks for email verification, just tap Back and continue.

How do I add my GemCard to Apple Pay or Google Pay?

📲 Google Pay

Wallet → Add Payment Card → Copy card details from the GemCard app → Paste → Verify → Done

🍎 Apple Pay

Wallet → “+” → Debit or Credit Card → Copy card details from the GemCard app → Paste → Verify → Done

What are the transaction limits?

  • 💷 Withdrawals (GemBet → GemCard): SGD 50 – SGD 50,000

  • 🔒 Daily withdrawal cap: SGD 100,000 total

  • 💴 Deposits (GemCard → GemBet): SGD 100 – SGD 100,000

  • 🔒 Daily deposit cap: None

  • ⏱️ Processing time: Around 20 minutes

Is there a minimum balance I need to keep on the GemCard?

Yes there is ⚠️

You must always keep at least USD 1 on your GemCard.

No stress though – that USD 1 is covered by us, not you.

If you try to use or transfer your entire balance, the transaction will be blocked automatically.

What fees apply?

Here’s the good part 👇

GemBet covers almost everything, so there are no hidden fees to worry about.

The only fee you may see is in case of a chargeback:

  • Chargeback fee: 8%
If you make a purchase and later request a chargeback, this fee will apply
(Example: spend SGD 100 → receive SGD 92 back)

** Standard 1% Fee applies to all GemBet withdrawals, including withdrawals processed to GemCards

Is there a withdrawal fee?

Yes – here’s how it works 👇

  • A 1% returnable fee applies to every withdrawal request

  • This fee is returned to you via Daily Rebates at 7 PM SGT

  • The fee is added on top of your withdrawal amount, so your withdrawal stays intact

Example:

Withdraw SGD 100 → SGD 101 is deducted from your GemBet balance

(The extra SGD 1 comes back to you through Daily Rebates)

What currency is the GemCard in?

GemCards run in USD 💵

Your GemBet balance is in SGD, so all transfers automatically convert between the two.

What happens if I lose access to my GemCard?

If your card gets blocked or stops working due to a technical issue, we’ll issue a replacement 🔄

Just reach out to your Account Manager or Customer Support.

Can I request top-ups directly in the app?

Not just yet ⏳

For now, all GemCard top-ups and transfers are handled through our support team.
