Bundles often lack detailed insights at the variant level. Genie solves this issue by allowing users to map bundles, providing insights on individual product sales and inventory movements.
Step 1: Add a Bundle to Genie
To add a bundle to Genie, it's necessary to understand what the bundle comprises. This means identifying which products and variants are included in the bundle.
For instance, a bundle might consist of a backpack (with one size and color) and a shoe (available in various sizes).
Step 2: Navigate to Bundle Mapping
To get the bundles into Genie, navigate to Settings and then Bundle Mapping.
Step 3: Request Update
Click on Request Update located in the corner. This action opens an email that will be sent to the Genie team.
Step 4: Paste the URLs
In the email, paste the Shopify URLs of the bundles. The Genie team will then map the bundles in the background.
Step 5: Wait for the Notification
Once the mapping is complete, a notification will be received, and the bundles will appear in the designated area.
Step 6: Analyze Bundle Breakdown
After the bundles appear, Genie breaks down any sale of the bundle.
For example, if a unit of the "Classic Gym Bundle" with a white size eight shoe is sold, Genie allocates the sale to both the backpack and the shoe. This allocation provides insights into the individual component product variants of the bundle.
Step 7: Check Inventory Table
These insights can then be viewed in the inventory table. Here, sales from the last few days, including those from bundles, are displayed.
Setting up bundles in Genie involves navigating to Settings, selecting Bundle Mapping, clicking Request Update, and sending the Shopify URLs of the bundles. The Genie team will then map the bundles, providing detailed insights into individual product sales and inventory movements.
