In this guide, we will overview the new feature in Genie that allows you to bulk update stock-level settings. Unlike how you would change the stock settings through individual products or set them globally, this feature allows you to change multiple products' settings all at once.

Bulk updating your stock level settings has a couple of advantages to it.

The first is that it is a fast and efficient way to change the settings for groups of products. While it is nice and simple to set your global stock settings and have them apply to all of your products, there are still times when some products need a bit more stock on hand than others.

It is also a time saver. Global stock level settings are useful in general, but when you have 40 products with variants that sell out at different rates, it's nice to have the option to change more than just one at a time.

So, how does it work?

Step 1: Begin by selecting a group of products. This could be high-sellers, specific styles, etc.

Step 2: Now, click the purple action button labeled Set stock level settings.

This will open a popup with a small preview of the products you have selected and three boxes for you to change the stock buffer, running low, and overstocked settings. You may also notice that Genie indicates when there are multiple values for these settings between the products you selected. This is just to make sure that you know all of these products will now have the same values.

Step 3: From here, you will enter the new values you want applied to this grouping.

For example, if you want to make sure your grade-A products have more of a buffer and a higher overstock, you can adjust those. Or if you have some poor-performing products, you can lower those values so you don't stock too much of them.

Step 4: Click save, and you're done. You can now click on any of the products you have selected and see that they have been updated with the new stock-level settings.

And that's all there is to it. Now you can change the stock-level settings of multiple products at once with ease.
