Connecting Your Card to Chip

To connect your debit card to Chip, please head to the Profile tab in-app and select Your bank account and debit card. You can then go through the steps to link your debit card.

The card you connect must be from the same bank account you have connected to Chip. We support the following banks through our Open Banking system: Bank of Scotland, Barclays, Chase, Danske, First Direct, HSBC, Halifax, Lloyds Bank, Monzo, Nationwide, Natwest, RBS, Santander, Starling, Tesco Bank, TSB, Ulster Bank.

You won't be able to link a card/bank account from a bank that's not listed above. Please also note you will only be able to connect a debit card, we do not accept credit cards.

It's worth bearing in mind that when you connect your card, we'll initiate a test transaction to ensure that the connection is valid. You can find more information about this here.
