✅ What You’ll Need
Access to your SmartRecruiters Admin account
A CLARA company login with Admin permissions

🔧 Step 1: Generate Your SmartRecruiters API Key
Log in to your SmartRecruiters account.
Click your profile icon (top right), then go to Settings / Admin.
Scroll down and select API / Credentials under Configuration.
4. Click Generate New API Key.
5. Name it something like: CLARA Integration Key.
6. Click Generate Key, copy the key and save it in a secure location (you won’t be able to view it again!).
🔄 Step 2: Add Your API Key to CLARA
Log in to your CLARA Admin account at app.getclara.io.
Go to Settings > Integrations > SmartRecruiters.
Paste your API key into the provided field.
4. Click Connect.
Once connected, CLARA will begin syncing job postings and candidates from SmartRecruiters.

⭐️ Step 3: Select Jobs to Process
Objective: Choose which SmartRecruiters jobs CLARA should track.

Note: In the future, this can happen automatically.
1. Configure Job Tracking
Select specific positions.
Set up any job-specific tracking preferences.
📍 Step 4: Map ATS Statuses
Objective: Synchronize candidate statuses between CLARA and SmartRecruiters.
Process:
Enable Status Mapping
CLARA can map actions to your Applicant Tracking System (ATS), SmartRecruiters.
Use the switch to enable CLARA to synchronize statuses.
Step 5: Configure Follow-up Questions
Objective: Set up automated candidate engagement
Adjust Follow-up Questions
Choose which types of candidates you'd like to send follow-up questions to.
Configure question targeting criteria.

Note: You can add & edit specific questions later.

🚀 What Happens Next
Job Sync: CLARA will pull in open roles from SmartRecruiters as they are added.
Candidate Flow: Applicants from SmartRecruiters will be scanned, assessed and scored in CLARA.
Two-Way Sync: Candidate scores and key insights will be pushed back into SmartRecruiters.

Q: Can I disconnect the integration later?
A: Yes! You can disable the SmartRecruiters connection anytime in your CLARA settings.
Q: What permissions does CLARA need?
A: CLARA only needs limited access to read jobs and candidates and update candidates with scoring insights.
Q: Will existing job posts be affected?
A: No. CLARA syncs with your existing workflow—no need to repost or change anything manually.
