Templates Overview

Updated over 9 months ago

GIC offers the ability to create customized templates for Documents, Dates & Deadlines tables, and Messagesβ€”all of which can be searched and applied at relevant points throughout a transaction to save you valuable time. Once created, you can also share templates across your team or brokerage to facilitate efficiency and consistency.

When applying a template you've created, the system will utilize your template settings to fill in any templated blank fields within that specific document or deadlines table.

  • For example: if you always check "multiple agent brokerage" on your Exclusive Right to Buy, you can create a template with "multiple agent brokerage" checked. Once the template is applied, it will automatically check that box and pull through any other settings or preferences from your template into the document.

Any field that has been changed by applying a template will have a green background, versus a blue background for fields that have been manually entered.

Templates for Documents:

You can 'templatize' any document in the system that you use frequently, this feature is not limited to use on system/DORA documents. If you'd like to add a welcome letter, client onboarding documents, or other team-specific templates you can do that through the New Template flow (covered in more detail here).

Templates for Dates & Deadlines

Creating templates for your dates and deadlines table is a great way to save yourself repetitive work. You can create templates for various types of closing timelines such as a condensed Cash close, a Conventional 3-day close, or a VA 45-day Close to name a few. You will always be able to adjust deadlines and timeframes once you've applied a template, this just provides you a faster baseline to work from within offers of various types.

Templates for Messages:

This has been one of our most requested features, and we understand why - having a library of email templates can save tremendous amounts of time. At any point in a transaction where you have the option to include a message, you will be able to search and apply a message template. Once applied you can still edit the message to include client or vendor names, input relevant details, and attach important documents.
