There are two ways to create a new template in the system: by creating a net new template within the templates tab OR by using the 'Save as Template' feature within an existing document or deadlines table in the system.
Create from the Templates Tab
1. Navigate to the Templates tab using the main menu. You will see the category buttons at the top for Documents, Dates & Deadlines, and Messages. Select the category you wish to create a template for β for this example we will use Documents.
2. Click the New Template button on the right. A drop-down menu will appear with options for that type of template (except Messages). Select or Search for the document you wish to use.
3. Edit and customize the document as you wish, to create the best baseline template to work from. Change the title of the template and press enter or click the checkmark to save, so you can differentiate between your templates in the future.
4. The document autosaves so once you're done editing you can simply exit and continue your workflow. You may also download a copy or share with your team.
5. To apply a template within any document you're working in, click the Template button at the top right to search and apply relevant templates. All fields affected by the template will be green versus the standard blue.
Create using the Save as Template feature
1. Upload a document to a transaction and completely fill in the details;
2. Once it is complete, prior to execution you can save it as a template for future use by clicking the More button at the top right of the document and selecting Save as Template;
3. If you want to save just the Dates & Deadlines table as a template for future use, navigate to the Dates And Deadlines tab at the top of a contract β click the Save as Template button at the top right of this tab and follow the prompts.
