Reasons Why Your Card May Be Locked or Frozen and How to Resolve It
Understanding why your Bits card has been locked or frozen can help you quickly address the issue and regain access to your balance. Here are the common reasons for a card becoming inaccessible and the simple steps you can take to resolve each situation.
Outstanding Balance on your Credit Card
If the weekly balance charge, which is runs by default every Tuesday, fails, your card will be locked.
To unlock your card:
1. Go to the Bits app and select your Credit Card.
2. Choose the "Pay Now" option.
3. Clear the outstanding balance in full.
Please note that the card will only be unlocked once the full balance has been cleared.
Outstanding Subscription Fee
Failure to pay the monthly subscription fee will result in your card being frozen.
How to Unfreeze Your Card:
1. Upon a failed payment, a notification will appear on the home screen of the app.
2. Follow the prompt to make the payment.
3. Once the payment is made, your card will be unfrozen shortly thereafter.
Once these steps are taken, your card will be unlocked.
