In the Admin App under Management you will see a tab for Monitoring. This should be your first stop if you have inventory issues. The inventory monitor displays a searchable list of every product Carrot has synced from your POS.
When you are looking at this list you will see different icon indicators.
In Stock
Major Error: The product is hidden from the store
Out of Stock
Missing Image, product showing in store
Minor Error, product showing in store, but some data may be missing. You will aslo see this error if this product is not assigned to a rewards category. If you don't have loyalty configured, you can ignore this error.
In order to investigate any item you can click on the
drop down icon. This will reveal all the options available for that item and show the quantities, Reservations, and Errors.In addition to showing quantities, reservations and errors you will also see
Master Category, Subcategory, Price, Unit type/weight, First Seen and Last Seen.The most common cause of items not showing on the menu is an online missing master category assignment. If, in monitoring, you see that the "master category" is "not assigned", you will need to use the category mapping setting to add the category online. Category mappings only need to happen for newly created or assigned categories in your Point of Sale, and not every new product. To access the category settings, please go to settings -> categories.
The second common cause of items not showing on the menu is missing pricing. If, in the Product's Monitoring, you see the red X error and under "Issues" it says "no purchase options in e-store", that means either the price is missing altogether, the product is priced at $0, or the price is in a format we do not recognize, possibly due to its weight. This will need to be fixed inside of your point of sale.
