Payments

The Payments tab in the Campaigns section provides a clear, real-time overview of your flow of funds, bank transfers, and transaction history. This guide will walk you through how to read your balance summary and track payment history.

Balance Summary

The Balance summary at the top of the page gives you a snapshot of pending movements between your connected bank accounts and Our Change Foundation (OCF). It is broken into two main columns:

  • Charging soon: This section shows funds that are scheduled to be debited from your bank account shortly.

    • Total Amount: The large bold number (e.g., $71,836.44) shows the total amount queued for charging.

    • Reconciliation funds: Funds being moved to reconcile account balances

    • Campaign donations: Donations gathered that are ready to be transferred to OCF from your bank account

    • Note: Once OCF successfully initiates a charge from your bank account, the status will update to "Charged" in the table below, and these amounts will disappear from this summary.

  • Will be returned to you: This section displays funds that are on their way back to your bank account.

    • Total Amount: The large bold number (e.g., $83,258.83) shows what is owed back to you.

    • Charged: The amount that has officially been processed and charged.

    • Received by OCF: Funds that have successfully landed with OCF.

    • Note: Once funds are marked as "Received by OCF," your return payment is typically initiated within 24 hours. When the return is initiated, the status in the history table will change to "Sent," and it will clear from this summary view.

Your Payments

Scroll down to the Your payments section to view a line-by-line breakdown of every individual transaction. In this section, you will see:

  • Amount: The total dollar value of the transaction.

  • Status: Tracks the progress of your money:

    • 🔵 Charged: The transfer has been initiated from the source account.

    • 🟢 Sent: Funds have been sent out to the destination account.

    • 🟢 Received: Funds have successfully arrived in the destination account.

  • Payment Method: The origin account where the money is coming from (e.g., JPMorgan Chase or OCF).

  • Destination: The receiving account where the money is going.

  • Type: Identifies what the money is for (e.g., Campaign donations or Returned fees).

  • Initiated: The exact date the transaction process started.

***Please note that it can take up to 2 business days for your bank to reflect new charges.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I export my payment data?

You can easily download your complete payment history for accounting or record-keeping. Click the Export button located just above the right side of the payments table to download a CSV file.

Why is an amount still showing under "Charging soon"?

If an amount is still listed under "Charging soon," it means the request has been queued but OCF has not yet successfully executed the charge with your bank. Check back in 1–2 business days.
