How to add notes to recipes

Recipes are more than just a list of ingredients, and meez is more than just a recipe costing tool. Use the NOTES feature to add more context to your recipe, such as

  • Recipe descriptions

  • Quality control check-points & important processes in your prep method

  • Tell a story, the origin of the dish, inspiration, general notes, et.

  • Links to other websites or products

Step 1: Go to your recipe and click Edit

Step 2: At the bottom of the recipe, select + Add Note

Step 3: Type in the general information. Use the formatting buttons to add color, bold, italics, or hyperlinks. You can even add pictures!

Step 4: Drag and drop the note anywhere in the recipe.

TIP: You can do the same thing on the "Prep Method" side of the recipe.

You may also want to add Section Headers to your recipe to simply separate sets of ingredients or prep method steps. To learn how to do that, check out this article.

How to add headers to recipes

Sections headers are exactly what they sound like. They are an easy way for you to add headers to separate sections of your recipe.

Separate sets of ingredients

  • eg. 'Wet Ingredients' & 'Dry Ingredients'

Separate sets of Prep Method Steps

  • eg. 'For the Braise' and 'To Finish'

Check it out: (make sure you're in edit mode to access the section header feature)

You may also find it helpful to include recipe descriptions and general info to your recipe. Learn how to do that here.
