Adding your product or service

Create a knowledge entry that tells agents what you sell, who you sell to, and what makes you different.

Your product or service entry is the most important entry in your Knowledge Base. It is the foundation for every campaign you run. GetReplies creates this entry by scraping a URL or reading a document you upload, then summarising it into a structured dossier.

How to add a product or service entry

  1. Go to Knowledge in the left navigation.

  2. Click Add entry → Product / offering.

  3. Choose your input method: URL (paste a website or landing page) or Upload file (PDF, deck, or document).

  4. GetReplies scrapes the page or reads the document and generates a structured dossier.

  5. Review the dossier, edit any sections you want to correct or expand, and save.

  6. Once you’re happy with it, click Mark as final. This locks the entry and signals to agents that it’s ready to use.

What the dossier contains

GetReplies structures the scraped content into a standardised format. This is what agents read when generating your campaign messages:

Adding from a URL

This is the fastest way to add your product information. All GetReplies needs is a URL to a page that clearly describes what you offer. Good candidates:

  • Your homepage — if it has a clear value proposition and product description

  • A specific product or service landing page — usually better than the homepage if you offer multiple things

  • Your 'About us' or 'What we do' page — useful for consultancies and service businesses

  • A specific service page — for businesses with multiple distinct offerings, create one entry per service

If GetReplies cannot scrape your website

Some websites block automated scrapers. If this happens, GetReplies will notify you that it couldn’t read the page.

Solution: upload a PDF or document instead. Most companies have a pitch deck, one-pager, or product PDF that contains the same information.

Adding from a file upload

If you'd prefer to give GetReplies a document rather than a URL, you can upload:

  • Pitch decks. PowerPoint or PDF presentations about your company or product. These are often the richest source of information.

  • One-pagers. Single-page product or service summaries.

  • Product PDFs. Datasheets, brochures, or capability documents.

  • Proposal templates. If your proposals contain good product descriptions, they work well as source material.

GetReplies reads the uploaded document and generates the same structured dossier as it would from a URL. The entry behaves identically — file uploads and URLs produce the same output format.

Managing multiple product or service entries

If your business has multiple distinct offerings — for example, a consultancy offering both strategy and implementation services, or a SaaS with multiple product lines — create a separate entry for each.

When you start a campaign, you can select which knowledge entry the agent should use. This means you can run a lookalike campaign for your strategy service and a separate awareness campaign for your implementation service, with each one drawing from the right entry.
