Your Organization Info — company name and value proposition — is the foundation Spear's AI uses to write outreach messages. It's set once at the organization level and feeds every profile and campaign in your workspace.
What is Organization Info?
Two fields live here:
Company Name — used whenever a message needs to reference who you work for.
Value Proposition — a short description (up to 500 characters) of what your company does and the outcome it delivers. This is what the AI leans on to explain "why you" in connection requests and follow-ups.
Where to find it
Organization Info lives in Settings — the gear icon at the very bottom of the left sidebar, not your name/avatar at the top. If you're unsure which settings area you're in, see Profile Settings vs General Settings first.
Note: updating Company Name and Value Proposition requires an Admin role on the organization.
How to set it up
Click the gear icon at the bottom-left of the sidebar to open Settings.
Go to the Organization Info tab.
Enter or update your Company Name.
Write your Value Proposition — keep it specific and outcome-focused (e.g. "We help B2B SaaS companies cut churn by 20% with proactive customer success workflows") rather than generic ("We're a software company").
Save your changes.
Why it matters
Every AI-generated message — connection requests, follow-ups, reply suggestions — draws on your Value Proposition to explain who you are and why the outreach is relevant. A vague or outdated value proposition shows up as vague, generic-sounding messages across every profile in your organization, not just one. This is one of the first things worth checking before troubleshooting message quality or reply rates.
