Spear can discover prospects through Reddit Keyword Search triggers (Publisher and/or Comment) — it watches Reddit for posts and comments matching your keywords and surfaces matching users as suggestions, the same way LinkedIn triggers do.
How to enable it
Go to Triggers and enable Reddit Keyword Search Publisher and/or Reddit Keyword Search Comment.
Add the keywords relevant to your ICP.
Matching Reddit users surface as prospects with a Reddit channel, alongside your LinkedIn suggestions.
Important: outreach to Reddit prospects is manual
Spear's automated connection request / message sequences only send on LinkedIn. A prospect discovered via a Reddit trigger does not get an automated message sent through Spear — there's no "send" step for this channel.
What Spear does give you: a drafted opening message based on the post or comment that triggered the suggestion, the same way it drafts a first message for LinkedIn prospects. Review and edit that draft inside Spear, then copy the final text and send it yourself directly on Reddit.
This also means Reddit prospects are excluded from auto-approve: even with auto-approve turned on, non-LinkedIn prospects (Twitter/Reddit) always stay manual.
Pro-Tip: Reddit signals tend to need more manual curation than LinkedIn ones — check the post is still relevant and recent before reaching out, since keyword matches can surface older or lower-quality mentions.
