How to set up a "Profile Actions Only" campaign for passive warm outbound

Written by Camila

You don't need to send a connection request or a message to start a warm touchpoint. A Standard campaign can run on Profile actions alone — viewing, following, liking, or endorsing a prospect's LinkedIn profile — so you show up on their radar (e.g. in their "who viewed your profile" list) without sending anything directly.

What you can configure

Inside a Profile actions step ("Engage with the prospect's profile"), you can toggle:

  • View LinkedIn profile — always on, this is the required base action for the step.

  • Follow LinkedIn profile — optional.

  • Like last three posts — optional.

  • Endorse top five skills — optional, but only available if a Connection request step already exists earlier in the sequence (Spear needs to be connected to the prospect to endorse their skills).

How to set it up

Step 1: Go to Standard campaigns in the left sidebar and click Create campaign.

Step 2: Complete Campaign settings and Prospect source (your ICP filters) as usual.

Step 3: On the Sequence step, click Add step and choose Profile actions.

Step 4: Leave View LinkedIn profile on, and toggle on any of Follow / Like / Endorse that you want included.

Step 5: If you want this to be the entire sequence — no connection request, no message — you can stop here and click Create campaign.

Why use it

This is the outbound mirror of a Viewed Profile campaign: instead of targeting people who viewed you, you're the one engaging with their profile first. It's a low-friction way to put yourself in front of a prospect before — or instead of — a direct connection request, since some prospects are more likely to reach out first once they notice the activity.
