How Do I Add All Participants to Email Templates?

You can now easily send emails to all participants!

Summary

This article explains how to easily send emails to all participants on a client profile using email templates or one-off emails. We introduced this feature to remove the need for manual copy-and-paste, which was time-consuming and prone to errors when multiple participants needed to be included.

With this update, Trail automatically surfaces participant email addresses for you — saving time, reducing admin, and helping ensure everyone stays informed with just a few clicks.

NOTE: This does not mean you can send one invitation link to all participants. Trail will still work off of the logic, that only the Key Contact of a profile will have a link generated for them.


How do I automatically add all participants to the Email Template?

  1. Go to Settings → Email Templates.

  2. Click on any templates you wish to edit.

  3. Select the field you want the participant's email to appear in (To/BCC/CC)

  4. Click the + sign

  5. A blank field will appear. Click the arrow and select the {participant_email} option.

All relevant participant emails will show here.


How to Send an Email to All Participants from your Client's Profile?

  1. Go to your client’s profile and click Send Email.

2. A blank email template will appear for one-off emails.

3. Select the field you want the participant's email to appear in (To/BCC/CC)

4. Click the + sign

5. A blank field will appear. Click the arrow, and you will be presented with all of the participants' names and emails to select from.
