Linking your email with Trail has various benefits including:
Allowing you to email clients directly from the software from the email address linked to your Trail account.
Pulling emails that have been sent or received from clients and displaying them in the timeline of your client's Profile.

Sending Emails to Clients
If you have linked your email to Trail, emails will automatically appear on client's profile pages as long as their contact email in the software is the same one you are emailing.
Sometimes emails will be sent to clients from the software. Before this happens, a modal will pop up as shown below. By default, you will be BCC'ed into every email you send to clients, but this can be removed by clicking the trash icon on the right-hand side of the modal.
No email integration?
Without email integration, all your emails will be sent from either:
Your company email address if you have set up Organisation Email Integration.
The adviser@gettrail.com email address if you have not set up Organisation Email Integration (the replies from clients will go directly back to you).
