In this article you will learn:
How to add a new Contact
You may create Contacts along with creating an Opportunity.
However, there may be a situation where you have someone that you want to add to Trail that does not need an Opportunity created yet.
Adding a client as a Contact in Trail first, means that their details are available for future use, even if you don't need them right now.
Adding a new Contact
1. Go into the Contacts tab on the navbar
2. Click the 'Add Contact' button and select 'Add New Contact'
3. Select whether the Contact is a person or company
4. Select if the Contact is to be a part of a new Profile or existing Profile
4a. Clicking 'New Profile' will cause the prompt of how you'll be working with the client.
In most cases you'll be working with the client as part of a personal situation.
4b. Selecting 'Existing Profile' will allow you to search for a Profile you already have in Trail.
5. Fill in the Contact's details and click 'Next'
6. Finish Up
Once you have saved this, a Contact in Trail will be created for the client, as well as a new Profile if an existing one was not selected.
From here, you will now be able to 'search' for them and find them on the Contacts tab.
