Using Mortgage Recommendation Templates

The Interactive Mortgage Recommendation page is a dynamic way to present your mortgage advice & recommended loan offer and structure to your clients. This page allows for many uses depending on the widgets that you put on the page.

Creating your own Templates means you can easily load an existing set of widgets to educate your clients, and present information in different ways.

Creating a template

Once you have created a recommendation page that works well and you want to reuse, you may want to to save it to use the same page for other clients. For this reason, Trail allows you to create your own template recommendation pages to reuse at any time. You can also share these templates between members in your organisation to bring consistency across your team. To do this:

1. Navigate to the Interactive Mortgage Review page

Within a Mortgage Advice Opportunity - go to the Mortgage Recommendation page and then click the Interactive Mortgage Review Page:

2. Create a recommendation page with the widgets you want in the template

3. Check the recommendation page is set up to your liking

Once you have added in all the widgets, clicking View Page will allow you to see what the page will look like once activated. After you've check the page, make any necessary changes to improve it.Ā 

4. Click Save Page as Template

This will ask you to save the template as New or Replace an existing template.Ā 

If you want this template to be accessible to others in your organisation, make sure you check Make template public to organisation.


Loading an existing templateĀ 

When you have some templates saved, and you want to use an existing template for a client, click 'Load Template' and choose the template that you'd like to use.


Editing an existing template

1. Load the template that you want to editĀ 

Do this by clicking the 'Load template' button, and selecting the template that you would like to edit.

2. Make necessary changes to the existing widgets

You can find out how to edit, delete, and change the order of widgets here.

3. Save the template

Clicking 'Save page as template' will allow you to replace an existing template with the new one.Ā 

4. Select which template you would like to update

From here, click 'Save'. This will update the template for future use.Ā
