KAN Members can view commission information and directly query the KAN team about commission items

Commission Management is only available to KAN members. KAN processes each lender's commission payments and imports them into Trail twice a week. Any payments NOT processed by KAN will not be included in Commission Management.

Commission Management is a new feature for our KAN members. Members who are tagged as their Organisation's Business Admin will have access to several new features to help with managing your Commission Payments πŸ‘

The Commissions button is featured on the left-side menu of Trail. Clicking this button will lead you to your Commission Dashboard. If you believe you should have access to your organisation's Commission Management Portal - please contact Trail Support Team to confirm your organization's permissions. πŸ˜„

Dashboard:

Your dashboard will be the first thing you'll see when clicking on Commission Management. By default, you'll see an overview for all Advisers under your org based on a 12-month rollover.

The top bar controls the data across this page, you can filter by Adviser (multi-select) and by predetermined date range, or you can set your own date range!

The above filter settings will define what you see in the rest of your dashboard. Hover over any of the charts to get further breakdowns per Month.

By clicking any of the blue hyperlinked figures you will open a popup containing the various payments.

By clicking through to the Commission Record you can export this filtered dataset πŸ‘

Record: All Commission

The All Commission Record is a complete record of all your commission payments from each lender, for each of your advisers (since KAN first received a commission for you).

This page acts like viewing an interactive spreadsheet.

Filter your data on the fly by selecting from the following Dropdowns πŸš€

  • Advisers in your Organisation

  • Lenders on KAN's lending panel

  • Types of Commission Payments

  • Timeframes of Payment

  • Search for specific items

You can export your filtered results into an Excel file by clicking on the Cloud icon.

Record: Trail View

For a deeper dive into your Trail payments, you can select a pre-filtered view via the top nav bar this gives you tools to quickly identify changes in Trail payments. Each row is a distinct loan that has had Trail Payments paid.

Filter this view by:

  • Advisers in your Organisation

  • Lenders on KAN's lending panel

  • Timeframes of Trail Payment

  • Active/Inactive payments

  • Search for Specific Items

  • Differential Highlight

Differential Highlight is a unique filter for the page. Adjusting the % you will see Trail payments that have the X% change between months. This will allow you to quickly identify any large changes in monthly Trail payments for each distinct client.

Use this view to highlight and comment on rows or specific payments to discuss with your team

These will appear as small yellow highlights that can be moused over to show the comment.

Receipts:

We've updated our process around notification of commission payments and the format/style of your weekly Payment Receipts.

Once KAN has processed a new payment for your organisation, you will receive an in-Trail notification. By clicking the link in the notification panel or via the Dashboard, you will find a list of your recent Receipts, all of which can be downloaded or viewed within your browser at your convenience.

Commission Help & Support:

Previously if you had any questions or concerns about your commission payments, there would often be several emails back and forward between yourself and the KAN team to confirm all required information is gathered.

We have built a specific workflow for querying your commission payments. By clicking on the Help button at the top of the Commission Management page, you will be taken to a direct user flow asking you for all the required information at once.

This will significantly reduce the time to resolve Commission Queries by focusing these into the right mailbox the first time πŸŽ‰

Commission Permissions

Commission information can be a sensitive topic. To enable a range of different organisation structures, there are specific settings to enable/group different user types to view commission data πŸ‘

Previously, we had Business Admin users having total access across all information in Trail. For commissions, we have disabled this total access and all access is defined by the account type and matching permission.

Each type of user can have a range of different permissions to view different splits of commission data.

User Types:

  • Adviser

  • Assistant

  • Manager
    (Manager access can be given to either adviser or assistant accounts)

Commission Permissions Types:

  • Own - Can only view commissions records for commissions belonging to that user

  • Team - Can view the commissions records for all users that are on the same Team as themselves

  • Organisation - Can view all commissions records across the organisation

  • None - Cannot view any commissions records (the commissions tab is hidden from view)

By Default:

  • Advisers accounts are set to Own

  • Assistants accounts are set to None

  • Managers accounts are set to Team

These can be edited by a Business Admin account within your Organisation Settings under Permissions πŸ‘
