Table of Contents:

For your regulatory returns review, you'll need to estimate the percentage of retail and wholesale clients in your client book. No worries here though, Trail takes out the guesswork with Profile Tagging πŸŽ‰

We highly recommend that you check out our full guide on profile tagging to see what's possible πŸ‘ In short, Trail allows you to set up custom tags which you can then use to generate reports on, by using the Advanced Filter. Profile Tags are also included as a part of the Profiles Export in Trail's Comprehensive Reports.

Creating the Retail & Wholesale tags:

To create these tags for use across your organisation, you will need business admin enabled for your account πŸ‘ This setting unlocks the Organisation Settings, which is where we are heading:

1. Go to your Settings - Profile Sources & Tags - and click Custom Tags:

2. Click Add Profile Tag and type out Retail (also choose a custom colour if preferred)

3. Do the same thing but for Wholesale as well πŸ‘

Tada! πŸŽ‰ You've set up these tags to be used across your organisation now 🀩

How to apply Retail & Wholesale Tags to your client Profiles

There are currently two ways you can tag your client profiles πŸ”

Individual Tagging

You can go into any client profile and tag it by click the little tag symbol next to the name of the profile:

From here, simply click the tag that fits this profile and you're good to go! You'll see the tag appearing whenever you hover over the tags, or from the Profile page πŸ‘

Bulk Tagging

If you have a large client book, tagging each profile individually can seem daunting. That's where bulk profile tagging comes into play!

1. To add profile tags in bulk to your client profiles, go to your Contacts Page under Profiles, like this:

2. Then, select all of the profiles you would like to tag: (you can use the very top left checkbox to select ALL profiles if you want)

3. At the bottom right of the new menu, you'll see an option to Edit Profile Tags. Click here and select the profile tag you want all selected profiles to have. Then click Save Changes:
