Beyond the Fact Find, Trail makes it easy for you to capture further qualitative client information and document this in the Client Interview page.

This page is available for every Advice Opportunity you create in Trail! This means you can jump back to this page to refer to these notes as you make your Recommendations to your client!

In this article you will learn:

  • How the Client Interview Page works
    Insurance Specific

How the Client Interview Page works

This page is unlike the Fact Find - where the information is only visible to you, not to your client. This means unless you share your screen with your client, your client would not be able to view or edit this information πŸ‘

It provides 4 sections (GPCT):

  1. Goals

  2. Plan

  3. Challenges

  4. Timing

You are able to provide details of your client's situation within these text boxes, as bullet points or otherwise, and refer to these anytime you needπŸ‘

Quick Tip! πŸ’‘ Click and drag the bottom right corner of the text box to expand the text box if you want to view all the text within it at once!

Insurance Specific

For insurance advice, you may need a few steps of Fact Gathering with your client before you are ready to make any recommendations.

  • Start with Trail's online Fact Find & Needs Analysis may become the basic information gathering.

You may choose to send it to your client to gather initial information about them (Fact Find), and what insurances they are interested in (Needs Analysis).

  • Perform a Client Interview for further details & discussion of needs.

Have Trail open as you make notes on the Client Interview Page - or you can type on any Word/ Google doc and copy & paste into Trail afterwards.

You can switch to Fact Find sections or Needs Analysis sections if needed (for more info on doing these WITH client, click here).

This sets you up well for getting both the quantitative information you need and also the qualitative information so that you have an all-round understanding of your client before giving advice. ο»Ώβœ…ο»Ώ
