🔴 Red lines
When you see red lines in your flow, it means the action is not allowed.
Why do they appear?
You are likely seeing them because, before our latest update, you had buttons that redirected to an external URL, triggered a phone call, or copied a promo code, all connected to a Reply node.
Since our update, this is no longer allowed.
What should you do?
Remove these red lines by clicking the small cross in the middle of the line.
You still can add another Template. But bear in mind that it will be billed, once the message delivered to the contact.
🟠 Orange lines
When orange lines appear in your flow, it means the action is not ideal but still technically possible.
Why do they appear?
They appear when you use a Reply node.
Reminder: the Reply node allows you to continue an existing conversation with a contact within the 24-hour window following:
a click on a Quick Reply button
or a message sent by the contact
Examples
Case 1
In the example below, connecting a Quick Reply button to a Reply node is not an issue.
The click guarantees that the contact has interacted, opening a 24-hour window during which the Reply can be sent.
Case 2
Connecting an entire template (small purple button) directly to a Reply node generates an orange line.
Why? Because it would mean sending the Reply right after the template without knowing whether the contact interacted or not. This can lead to errors.
Why is it not red?
It is not completely blocked because another scenario is still possible:
If the customer interacts elsewhere (on another template or in another flow), the 24-hour window may still open and the Reply could be sent.
It is unlikely, but not impossible. That is why it is orange rather than red.
Key takeaway
It is recommended to connect a Reply node only when you are certain there will be an interaction within the previous 24 hours.
Outside of this context, you increase the risk of errors.
