Manage Layout Templates

Rename, share, and retire the panel-arrangement templates your team reuses across projects and spaces.

Written by Holly Conrad Smith

Standardize how your team's canvas is arranged.

A layout is a saved arrangement of Giraffe's panels, like Map, Layers, Properties, and Analytics, shown as a named, colored tab you switch between while you work. When someone saves one as a template, it becomes available to reuse across your workspace. Manage Layouts is where those saved templates live.

Your layout templates

Each row shows the template's name, its color, and its scope: whether it applies to projects or to spaces.

Managing a template

If you administer a template, its row shows three actions:

  • Rename: give it a new name.

  • Share: share it with a user, a team, or your workspace.

  • Delete: remove it. You'll be warned that it disappears for everyone it's shared with.

If you don't administer a template, these actions are hidden. Ask whoever shared it with you to make changes.
