What is a Space?

A Space is a curated, shareable map of your portfolio.

Written by Holly Conrad Smith

A Space is a live map built for evaluating land. Acquisition and development teams use it to size up a market fast: overlay zoning and other data layers across every parcel you're tracking, and check each project's status at a glance, without opening a single one.

Spaces vs. Home

Don't confuse a Space with Home. Home is the administrative screen every user lands on, for managing your content and account settings. A Space is a map: where you do the actual work of evaluating parcels and land deals.

Spaces are available on Enterprise plans.

What a Space contains

  • A map view of your portfolio.

  • A filtered list of projects from your portfolio, shown on a Portfolio Layer.

  • Data layers, like zoning maps and market data.

  • The Data Table, including a gallery view for browsing project cards and status.

  • Apps.

Inside a Space

A Space uses the same top bar as a project, but the toolbars around it are stripped down for browsing, not designing.

  • The toolbar has a map search, a New Project button, and tape measure tools for length and area. There are no drawing tools. (You can dock this toolbar wherever you like — it isn't fixed to the bottom.)

  • The map's own toolbar only shows view options, since there's nothing to select or draw.

  • The map and the Data Table both work the same as they do in a project.

Two default layouts are available: Discover, which pairs the Layers panel with the map, and Browse, which pairs the Portfolio Data Table with the map.

What you can do in a Space

  • Compare zoning, market data, and other layers across every parcel in view.

  • Filter and search your parcel data to find land deals that match your criteria, like location, property values, or creation date.

  • Check project status across your whole portfolio at a glance.

  • Open projects from your portfolio.

  • Create new projects.

  • Make bulk edits to project metadata and sharing.
