Draw a 4-sided shape with 90 degree angles

A quick massing test or a parking bay layout usually just needs a clean, square-cornered box.

  1. Click the Rectangle tool in the drawing toolbar, or press R, to draw a 4-sided shape with 90 degree angles and no usage applied.

  2. Click to place the first corner.

  3. Click again to set the width, or type a number instead of clicking to set an exact edge length. Hold Shift to snap this edge to the grid.

  4. Pull and click a third time to set the length and finish, or type a number to set it exactly.

Double-clicking while drawing a rectangle cancels the draw and selects whatever geometry is underneath, instead of finishing the shape.
