Credits let apps in your workspace call AI models and data APIs through Giraffe. Your team can run AI and data tools on a site without anyone holding their own provider key, and admins keep spending in check per person, project, or app.
Types of credits
AI Credits pay for AI model calls. They are priced on the tokens sent and returned.
API Credits pay for data API calls. They are priced per call.
Open the Credits page
Workspace admins find credits in the Admin section of workspace settings. Click Credits.
If your workspace has no credit account, the page reads No credits yet. Contact Giraffe to have one set up.
Check your account limit
The top of the Credits page shows the Account limit, how much is Spent, and how much is Remaining. Giraffe sets the account limit. If your workspace has more than one credit account, pick one from the Account menu.
If the page shows Credits turned off, apps cannot spend on that account. Contact Giraffe to turn it back on.
Set a monthly cap
Monthly caps divide the account limit between members, projects, and apps. To add a cap on the Credits page:
Open the Monthly caps tab.
Choose Users, Projects, or Apps.
Select the member, project, or app.
Enter the Credits per month.
Click Add cap.
Each cap appears in a table with its monthly cap, amount spent, amount remaining, and a progress bar. Edit or delete a cap from its row.
A user cap limits what one member can spend across every project and app in the workspace.
A project cap limits what everyone in one project can spend together. A call that names no project does not count against a project cap.
An app cap limits what one app can spend, whoever runs it and in any project.
A cap resets each calendar month. It counts from the first of the month UTC and goes back to zero on the first of the next month. The account limit applies on top of every cap.
Let projects without a cap spend
The Projects without a cap may spend switch sits on the Monthly caps tab. When it is on, a project with no cap spends against the account limit, and user and app caps still apply. When it is off, a project cannot spend until it has a cap.
See where credits went
Open the Usage tab on the Credits page to see spending. Set the Period to This month or All time. Break spending down by Users, Apps, Projects, AI models, or API services. The Totals tab sums AI Credits and API Credits. Each table lists credits, calls, and errors.
