Giraffe AI in Sites

Ask Giraffe AI to search for sites, shape your pipeline, and update projects

Ask Giraffe AI for anything you'd otherwise click for. It can build a shortlist of parcels, group your pipeline by stage, colour the map, or update a batch of projects.

Open Giraffe AI in Sites

Click AI in the Sites tab bar, or press Cmd/Ctrl + K. Press Cmd/Ctrl + K again to close it. The Find sites tab uses the same conversation.

Send a message to Giraffe AI

Type your message and press Enter to send. Press Shift + Enter to add a new line. Click Cancel to stop a reply, or New chat to start a fresh conversation.

What Giraffe AI can do

  • Find parcels in the US with Regrid, or in NSW and VIC with the Australian cadastre, and add them to the map as a shortlist.

  • Go to an address and select its parcel.

  • Filter the map or colour it by a field.

  • Set up the Pipeline: group by, colour by, tag, totals, and filters.

  • Switch tabs and open a project's details.

  • Search your projects and list a project's attachments.

  • Update fields on one or more projects.

  • Save the selected sites as projects.

  • Create, filter, and style map layers.

  • Change Quick fields, property groups, and which fields are visible.

Approve changes before Giraffe AI makes them

Giraffe AI asks before it changes your data. A card reads Confirm: followed by the action, with Apply and Cancel buttons. Nothing changes until you click Apply.

These actions need your approval:

  • Updating project fields, up to 50 projects at a time

  • Creating projects from selected sites

  • Changing Quick fields, property groups, or visible fields

Answer the card before you send another message. A card left unanswered for 5 minutes cancels itself.

Giraffe AI limits

  • Giraffe AI takes up to 5 steps per message. Break a large request into smaller ones.

  • Giraffe AI answers questions about Sites and your Giraffe data only.

  • The conversation clears when you switch projects and isn't saved.

Set up Giraffe AI

Giraffe AI needs an Anthropic credential. Pick one under API credentials in Settings in Sites. Without one, Giraffe AI shows "Add an Anthropic credential in Settings to use AI chat."
