The Data Table’s Intelligent search capabilities allow you to filter through all the vector data in your library and style it to meet your specifications. View your data in a familiar tabular format, and export your findings.

The Data Table

The data table is a familiar spreadsheet-based view of your data. Rows are records. Columns are data about the record.

  1. Save

    Save your filtering, sorting, and styling settings to the current project or space as the default state.

  2. Text search

    Search for matches to any text in the layer’s properties.

  3. Sort

    Sort the table results by data property values.

  4. Filter

    Filter data based on values in specific columns, by a boundary, by a selection, or apply advanced filters.

  5. Layer selector

    Select which layer to focus the table on from the centered drop down menu

  6. Style

    Adjust the appearance of your data. Color by property values, add outlines, show labels, and more!

  7. Select

    Choose your selection style for the map or table

  8. Table Size

    1. collapse

    2. full screen

    3. close

  9. data header

    (portfolio = workspace properties, data layer = data)

  10. Select/deselect all rows

  11. Selected row (blue checked box)

    1. Right click menu - use your selection to action data

      1. on cell

      2. on checkbox

  12. Filter menu

    Add a filter to a column.

  13. Header menu

    1. Sort by column value

    2. Pin - freeze a column to the left or right of the table

    3. Autosize to fit column text

    4. Select which columns to display in the table

    5. Change the Column type

  14. Bulk selected row actions

    Take action with your selection using bulk actions.

  15. show/hide columns

    click the # columns to select which columns to show or the in the table

Open the Data Table

Mouse over a layer, and click the Table icon

Or, Click the 3 dots to the right of the layer name. Select “Open Table”

What Types of Layers can I filter and style?

The Data Table allows you to filter and style any Vector layer in Giraffe. This could be GeoJSON, .shp, Esri Featureservers, or even DXF files.

You can open the table on any layer that displays the Vector icon in the Layer tree

🚨 The Table does not currently work on raster format data, like Mapservers, Imageservers, or PDF/JPG uploads.
