Filter & Search in the Data Table

Find and display the data that’s relevant to you with filters and search function in the data table.

Filter or search data on any embedded layer property values.

Search

Search any text values in a layer with the search icon.

The search returns a filtered table, highlighting cells where matching text is found

The map is also filtered to match the table results

Filter

To query saved parameter values rather than using an open text search, you can apply a filter.

“Add Filter” Button

Click Add a Filter to see the options available in the selected layer.

Type to search for a property.

Click a property to select it.

Click the filter icon on the column header to see your options.

Filter Types

The property contents will determine your filtering options:

Text

Text Properties have the following filtering options:

Numeric

Numeric properties have the following filter options:

Selected Only

Filter the table to only display rows that are "checked." Quickly query selected information by clicking on map polygons.

Advanced Filters

Add detailed and/or conditions and filter groups using Advanced filters.

Click “Advanced Filter” to open the advanced filter editor.

Advanced filters consider logic using AND & OR.

AND = All conditions must be true to return a result

OR = Any condition may be true to return a result

  1. The logic applied to 1st level

  2. A group

    You can see which criteria are being evaluated together by the tree chart trail

  3. Move handles

    change the group and level of any criteria or group by dragging the move handle

  4. Add another group or criteria

  5. Add another group or criteria BELOW the selected row | Remove a group or criteria

  6. The Column selection

  7. The type of filter

  8. The filter criteria

  9. Expand the editor to full screen

  10. Apply the filter | Cancel editing and exit

Boundary Filters

Remove data from a layer based on a polygon outline.

Click "Draw Boundary"

Choose to Include or Exclude data from within the boundary outline.

Click “Edit Boundary” to set the polygon.

Draw an outline and click “Done”

Edit Filters

Filters you add appear as pills on the header.

Filtered columns will display a filter icon

When a filter is applied, the filter icon turns blue.

Click the pill you want to update, then enter or select a new value.

Close the filter box to save the changes

Edit Advanced Filters

For advanced filters, you can re-enter the builder by clicking the Builder button

Remove Filters

Click a filter fill to edit. Click the trash bin icon to delete the filter.

Click clear to remove all filters.

Click the advanced filters button to unapply advanced filters.
