Places Locations are collections of themes and carousels. Viewers of a Places project can switch between Places locations to pull up a new collection of themes in the right hand palette.

Locations are shown to the Places viewer as a dropdown list.

Viewers of the Published project can select a Location from the dropdown to reveal those themes and carousel items. When a new location is selected, the map will adjust to the view saved in the first theme from that Location.

If your project only has 1 location, no dropdown is displayed

Create Locations in the Places App UI

Navigate to the Organize Layout tab in the Places app.

Click "Create Location"

Edit the Location Info

  1. Location Name

Change the name of a Location by double-clicking the Location name. (By default the Location name is the name of the view)

4. Add Theme

Add a Theme to the Location.

5. Edit Location / New Location

Select one of the project’s Views to be the starting point for the location. By default the Location name is the name of the view

6. Delete

Click the Bin to delete the Location. Deleting a Location will also delete all of the themes and carousel items contained within that theme

7. Move in list

Change the order in which the Locations display in the editor and the dropdown list. Click-drag on the 6-dot icon to move.
