How to set up review email notifications: who gets them and how often

Add the addresses that should receive review alerts and digests for each location, then choose instant summaries or daily, weekly, or monthly rollups.

Overview

Notifications in the Dashboard control which email addresses get updates about reviews for the location you have selected, and whether those people receive instant alerts and/or review summary emails on a daily, weekly, or cadence.

You configure everything under Setup → Notifications. Settings are per profile (location)—if you manage several sites, switch the location in the header before you change recipients or toggles. The product reminds you that you get a separate notification email per profile, so each location’s list and schedule can differ.

Send Email Notifications to

Tag-style list of addresses that should receive this location’s notification emails. Add one or more team inboxes or people who should see review activity.

Instant notification

When on, eligible immediate alerts can go to the addresses above (for time-sensitive review events the product supports).

Review summary → Daily

Sends a daily digest-style summary to those addresses when enabled.

Review summary → Weekly

Sends a weekly summary when enabled.

Review summary → Monthly

Sends a monthly summary when enabled.

You can combine instant with one or more summary frequencies, or rely on summaries only—pick what matches how your team monitors reviews.


How to update Notifications

Step 1: Open Notifications

  1. Sign in to the Dashboard.

  2. Open Setup in the sidebar.

  3. Choose Notifications.

Step 2: Select the location

Use the location switcher so the profile matches the business whose notification rules you are editing.

Step 3: Set recipients

  1. Under Send Email Notifications to, add each email as a tag (enter the address and confirm to add it).

  2. Remove outdated addresses by deleting their tags.

Step 4: Choose delivery modes

  1. Turn Instant notification on or off based on whether you want immediate alerts.

  2. Under Review summary, turn Daily, Weekly, and/or Monthly on or off for the digests you want.

Step 5: Save

Click Save changes and wait for the success confirmation. If save fails, check that you still have a location selected and that addresses are valid.


Tips

  • Use a shared inbox (for example reviews@yourcompany.com) if several staff need the same digests.

  • After onboarding a new location, add notification addresses and toggles for that profile specifically.

  • If someone stops receiving mail, check spam filters and that their address is still in the tag list for the correct location.


Frequently asked questions

Why am I getting duplicate emails for two locations?

Each profile sends its own notifications. If the same person is listed under both locations, they will get separate emails per the info banner on the page.

Can I disable all emails for a location?

Turn off Instant notification and all Review summary toggles, clear the email list if policy allows, then Save. Confirm with your account owner before removing required monitoring addresses.
