A QR code is a great way to share your fundraising page in the real world — print it on flyers, add it to presentations, or display it at events so people can donate instantly by scanning it with their phone.
Generate a QR code on givestar.io
Go to givestar.io and sign in
Go to Your Fundraising and open your fundraising page
Scroll down to the Donation Summary section at the bottom of the page
Click Generate QR Code
Download or share your QR code directly from there
Generate a QR code on the givestar app
Open the app and tap Fundraise in the bottom menu
Select your fundraising page
Tap the Share button
Tap QR code
Save or share your QR code from the options shown
You can also access your QR code by tapping the three dots (⋯) in the top right corner of your page and selecting QR Code.
Tips for using your QR code
Print it on flyers, posters, or event programmes so people can donate on the spot
Add it to a PowerPoint or presentation slide for fundraising events
Share a digital version on social media alongside your page link for maximum reach
Test your QR code by scanning it yourself before printing to make sure it works
QR code not working?
If your QR code isn't scanning correctly, try the following:
Make sure the image is large enough and printed clearly — a minimum of 2.5cm × 2.5cm is recommended for print
Avoid placing the QR code on busy or dark backgrounds
If the link has changed (e.g. you deleted and recreated your page), generate a fresh QR code as the old one will no longer work
