Getting error message when adding card to Apple Wallet?

If you receive the message “Contact card issuer” when trying to add your Glede gift card to Apple Wallet, it means that Apple is performing an extra verification before the card can be added. This happens for security reasons and is often the case when:

  • Your Apple ID was recently created

  • You’ve made significant changes to your account

  • Your device hasn’t been fully approved for Wallet use yet

What can you do?

  • Wait 3–4 days and try again
    In most cases, the card can be added normally after a short period of time.

  • Restart your phone
    This can help your device refresh its system status.

  • Temporarily change your region and switch back
    Go to Settings > General > Language & Region > Region
    Change to United States, wait a moment,
    then switch back to Norway or Sweden.
