Charging badge not accepted in the App

Updated today

Electra charging stations are compatible with many charging cards, making it easy to start a charging session without using the app.

❓Why can't some cards be added to the app?

Although most cards work directly on our stations, not all can be added to the Electra app. Here are the main reasons:

  • Technical constraints: Some card operators don't use a format compatible with our system

  • No usage history: The card must have been used at least once on an Electra station before it can be added

  • Device limitations: On iPhone, only the "visual number" method works, while on Android, NFC scanning is also available

📵 Cards commonly not compatible with the app

Some cards have known limitations, including:

  • Some Chargemap cards

  • Shell cards

  • Total Fleet cards

💡 What to do if the card is not accepted?

If an error message such as "e-msp card not found" or "ID not found" appears, here are the alternatives:

  1. Use the card directly on the station - It will still work at the station even if it cannot be added to the app

  2. Try NFC scanning (Android only) - Some cards that don't work with the visual number may be detected by scanning

  3. Add a bank card to the app as an alternative

💡 When using a charging card, the rate applied is that of the card operator, not Electra's.

⚡️ Autocharge and charging cards

It is possible to configure Autocharge with a charging card as a payment method, but some restrictions apply:

  • Not all cards are compatible with Autocharge

  • By using a card as a payment method for Autocharge, the ELECTRA+ rate will not apply

  • Billing will always depend on your card operator

For any additional questions regarding your card's compatibility, feel free to contact us via the app's chat or by email ⚡️
