Placing Orders allows you to send a Purchase Order to your vendor and move your special orders to the "Orders Placed" stage in the Special Order Dashboard. Orders can be placed with a vendor using a computer or mobile device using the Golf Genius Golf Shop App. Click Here for more details about placing orders with the mobile app.
Mobile Order Review:
As a manager, you can enter special orders into Golf Genius - Golf Shop via the computer or the mobile app. Orders entered via the mobile app may not be completed with all the necessary details as one entered on a computer. Therefore, orders entered on a mobile device will be tagged with an icon "Mobile App" for further review before being placed with a vendor (as shown below).
Once a special order is entered into Golf Genius - Golf Shop and reviewed for accuracy, it is then ready to be placed with your vendor and moved to the "Orders Placed" stage of the dashboard.

Placing a Special Order:
To place a special order in Golf Shop, follow these instructions:
Go to Orders > Special Orders > Dashboard, find the order you would like to place, and click "Place Order" for the special order you'd like to place.
Select from one of the following order methods:
Phone: When selected, the vendor phone number, account #, and rep name will be listed. You can then call and place the order. You can also optionally enter the vendor confirmation numbers, wholesale and selling price, or shipping details.
B2BWebsite: When selected, you can click on the vendor's website link (if entered in the vendor profile). You can also optionally enter the vendor confirmation numbers, wholesale and selling price, or shipping details.
Email: When selected, a default order email message will be displayed. You can then customize the message (if needed) and email the vendor directly. You can customize the default message by going to Communications > Emails > Automated Emails > Special Orders. When placing an order via email with a vendor, you can see if the vendor has opened that email (as shown below). For more details, Click Here.
Text Message: When selected, a default order text message will be displayed. You can then customize the message (if needed) and text the vendor directly. You can also customize the default message by going to Communications > Text Message > Automated Text Messages > Special Orders.
When placing an order by phone or website, review and adjust each special order's details (e.g., vendor confirmation numbers, expected shipping and delivery dates, wholesale and selling price, etc.).
Go to the "Notification" tab, review the customer's notification settings, and adjust them if necessary.
After making the order via phone, website, or email, click "Place Order."

The special order (along with any other special orders included in the purchase order) will be moved to the "order placed" stage (as shown below).

Automated Notification:
After placing the order, the customer will then receive an email notification (if enabled) and text message notification (if enabled) confirming that their order has been placed with the vendor.
The default notification includes an order summary and other information. You can further customize the automated notification to include a personalized message to the individual by clicking on "Edit this specific message." For more details on customizing notifications on the fly, Click Here.
For automated emails, you can view the Email Delivery Report to ensure emails were delivered successfully and identify those that were not. Click Here for more details.
