The Task Dashboard allows you to access, view, create, and search Tasks. It can also be utilized to update and complete tasks as needed.
In this article, we will discuss accessing the Task dashboard, task stages, creating tasks, task details, searching and filtering, and the available action options (i.e., editing, completing, or deleting).
Accessing the Tasks Dashboard
To access the Task Dashboard, follow these directions:
Log in to your Golf Genius Golf Shop account.
Navigate to Staff > Tasks > Dashboard.
When first navigating to the Dashboard, only tasks assigned to you will be displayed (as shown below).
Utilize the Assignee filter to narrow tasks down to one staff, several staff, or all staff members (as shown below).
Viewing Tasks
The Task dashboard is your central hub for viewing and managing tasks. All created tasks are broken into sections or stages based on their importance, due date, and completion status. Each section will have an associated color. The following sections and coordinating colors are available:
Important (Red): Tasks marked as important appear at the top of the dashboard.
Past Due (Orange): Tasks with due dates in the past.
Today (Green): Tasks due today.
Tomorrow (Blue): Tasks due tomorrow.
This week (Blue): Tasks due this week.
Future (Blue): Tasks due more than a week in the future.
Recently Completed (Blue): Tasks completed within the last 24 hours.
Completed (Blue): Tasks completed more than 24 hours ago (accessible through search).
Note: Sections will only be displayed if a task meets the criteria for that section.

Task Actions
Each Task has a quick action option menu. Click on the action drop-down to edit, complete, and more (as shown below).
Note: Depending on the view, the drop-down might be in a slightly different location but will have the same options.
The following quick actions are available:
Edit: Edit the Task.
Mark as Completed: Mark the task as completed.
Assign & Accept: This option is only available if the task was not assigned to a group or individual. The person signed in to Golf Shop will be assigned the task. Note: You can easily switch between managers without signing out; for details, Click Here.
Complete All Tasks to Date: Available for recurring tasks with multiple occurrences on the dashboard. Marks the selected task and all past occurrences of the same task as complete. The next occurrence will be automatically scheduled for the first valid date in the future. For complete details, Click Here.
Clone: Create a copy of the task with the same details. The cloned task will be added to the dashboard and can be edited as needed.
Delete: Delete the task from the dashboard.
When deleting a recurring task with more than one occurrence on the dashboard, you will be presented with the following options:
Delete this task only: Deletes only the selected instance.
Delete this task and any Past Tasks: Removes all related incomplete recurring instances with dates in the past. Any current or future recurring tasks will remain.
Delete All Tasks: Permanently deletes the selected task and all related past incomplete instances, as well as future scheduled recurring tasks.
When deleting a recurring task with only one occurrence on the dashboard, a simple confirmation will appear before the task is deleted.
Task Tags/Alerts
In some instances, you may notice that a Task is tagged with green, grey, or other tag colors (as shown below). These flags signify an alert or groups assigned to that particular task.
The following are flags you may see on the dashboard:
Accepted (Green): Task not previously assigned to anyone that has been assigned & accepted.
Multiple Tags (Grey): If you have created task tags in the Tasks General Settings and assigned multiple task tags to a single task, the flag will be grey with an info icon that displays all the tags assigned to the task.
Other Colors: If you have created task tags in the Tasks General Settings and have assigned one task tag to a task, the tag name and color will be displayed.
Recurring Tasks
Recurring task instances are created automatically via a daily background job. When a recurring task becomes overdue, the next occurrence is automatically scheduled for the first valid date in the future β past occurrences are not recreated.
Notes:
A maximum of 10 uncompleted instances of the same recurring task can exist at one time. Once some of those tasks have been marked as completed or deleted, a new instance will be created based on the schedule.
If a recurring task has accumulated multiple overdue instances on the dashboard, you can mark all of them as complete at once using Complete All Tasks to Date in the task actions dropdown. For complete details, Click Here.
Quick Search and Filter Tasks
At the top of the dashboard, you can filter and search tasks by assignees, task tags, and other criteria (as shown below). For more details, Click Here.
