Labels with the Page Composer

To ensure you are capturing the appropriate details on your labels, separate reports should be made for each label type:

Page Composer Content Setup

To create new reports using the Page Composer follow these directions:

  1. Go to Report Center > New Report > Page Composer.

  2. Enter or select the following:

    1. Name: Name the report.

    2. Layout: Layouts define the paper size and page proportions. Select any of the forms that are already available (e.g., Letter, A4, Greenbriar 10 labels, etc.). If the layout you need is not available, go to Manage Layout > New Page Layout. For more details on creating a new a new layout, Click Here.

    3. Print for each: Select the scope of the report and design the report.

      • Select from the available options:

        • Members: For instance, you would print for "Members" if creating personal shaft labels.

        • Demo Inventory: If creating demo club labels, you would print for each "Demo Inventory."

        • Rental Inventory: When creating labels from rentals, use the "Rental Inventory" options.

      • Design: Here, you will also have the option to click "Design" to design/add the content for each instance. Note: This is discussed in more detail later in the article.

    4. Preview: As you are formatting and editing a report, we suggest that you "refresh the preview" after making changes to ensure everything will be as expected when running the report.

  3. Click "Save" to save the page or "Save and Print" to save it and immediately print the page.

See the example below for creating Member Shaft Labels.

At this time, you can click "Save". After saving, you will be taken back to the Report Center. If you are not done or would like to make edits to your report, you can do so by clicking "Edit" for that report (as shown below).

Designing Content using the Page Composer

To design the content within the structural level of the report, click "Design", (as shown below).

The area available to add content (images, text, etc.) will be shown on the right. The available content that can be added to the design area will be shown on the left, (as shown below).

The available tools used to design your report are:

  • Add Text/Field: Add Text or dynamic fields to the design area. You can change font size, color, type, and more for text.

  • Add Barcode: Insert the barcode placeholder. When designing a report for Demo Clubs or Rentals, the printed barcode can be scanned using the mobile app or handheld scanner attached to a computer to check-in/check-out inventory.

  • Upload Photo: Upload a photo from your computer.

  • Customer Default Logo: Insert a placeholder your default logo.

  • Customer Default Banner: Insert a placeholder for your default banner

  • Add Rectangle: Create a rectangle of any size as well as change the color, border width, and more. Simply click and drag the corners to re-size. For more info on adding a rectangle, Click Here.

  • Add Line: Add a line of any length, width, and color. Additionally, you can change the angle if needed. For more info on adding a line, Click Here.

  • Send to Back and Send to Front: Images, rectangles, lines, and text boxes may overlap at some point. By clicking on any of them, you can send one or the other to the back. For instance, maybe you have a watermarked image created. It would be a good idea to send that to the back.

  • Duplicate: Add a duplicate of any image, rectangle, line, or text box. In the sequence above, we duplicated the club logo.

  • Delete Item: Select an item on the left, and click "Delete Item" to remove it from the design area.

Once you are finished designing the content, click "Apply". If you are done with the report and have made changes, also click "Save".

Best Practices/Tips

When selecting "Add Text/Field", you will see all the available dynamic fields for the report. When clicking on one, the field will be inserted at the cursor position. Feel free to change font size, color, and type for all of these dynamic fields.

You can click and drag photos and text (that you've added) to wherever you'd like on the template, (as seen above).

The numbers listed in the text field content areas are placeholders for the actual content that will be displayed. To view what content will be displayed, hover over the placeholder (as shown below).
