Managing Demo Clubs can be tricky enough, but also, keeping track of demo clubs makes things even harder. With Golf Genius - Golf Shop, you can easily maintain demo clubs and track demo clubs using Demo Club Labels. To further simplify the process, use barcodes (as shown below) on your labels to make checking in/out demo clubs a breeze. For a brief video on using demo club labels, Click Here.

**Important Note**
When using demo club labels and you delete a club or the entire inventory, the demo club label(s) for the deleted club(s) will no longer be scannable.
Demo Club Templates
You will find demo club label templates already created in the Report Center. Go to Report Center > Page Composer. Two templates have been created for you:
Demo Inventory Labels - 5160 (without barcode)
Demo Scan Labels - 5160 (with Barcode)
If one of these labels meets your needs, you can print demo club labels using the provided templates. If the label meets your needs, but minor adjustments must be made to the dynamic fields or layout, you can click "Copy" for that particular shaft label (as shown below) and customize it. For more details about editing labels using Page Composer, Click Here.
Alternatively, you can create new label reports using the Page Composer for other paper types (e.g., Greenbriar).
Creating New Labels
To be able to print demo club labels, a label report must be created for each label type. To ensure you are capturing the appropriate details on your labels, separate reports should be made for:

Creating New Demo Club Labels
For your demo inventory, you may need to create several label types for different kinds of demos. This could include full clubs, shafts, heads, and other components.
To create a new demo club label, follow the instructions below. For instruction on creating labels for thermal printers (e.g., Zebra, Dymo, Brother, etc.), Click Here.
Go to Report Center > Page Composer > New Report > Page Composer.
Name the Report.
Select the Layout. If the proper layout is not available, you can create one. For more details on building/managing layout, Click Here.
Print for each "Demo Inventory."
Design the content for the labels. Some tips:
To add the barcode, click "Add Barcode" and expand its size on the canvas. The wider and taller the barcode, the better.
The dynamic field "Inventory Club Description" is a great field to add if you want to add detailed club information. It lists the first few fields of information for the club. If you're going to determine what dynamic fields are used to create this field, Click Here for details.
Other pertinent information you could add: club logo, club phone #, tracking id, and many other dynamic fields.
Check the box for "Quick Access" if this demo club label report will be your default template to print labels in the future. For more details, Click Here.
Click "Save."

Quick Print Demo Club Labels
To Quick Print demo club labels, you must first define an existing demo club label report as the default demo club label template ("Demo Scan Labels - 5160" has been assigned as the quick print default). You can change this by following these directions:
Go to Report Center > Page Composer.
Hover your mouse over the label you wish to use as the lable and click "Edit."
In the section "Quick Access," check the box for "This is my default barcode template." For more details on setting the default demo club label template, Click Here.
Click "Save."
Once a default demo club label template is selected, you will be able to quickly print labels by going to Services > Demo Clubs > Print Barcodes (as shown below).
You can select to print for:
Selected Clubs and Components: Click "Edit" to specify which clubs to print labels.
All Clubs or Components: A label will be printed for all items in your demo inventory.
Then specify how many labels you would like to have printed for each item. Set the starting point if printing on a partially used label sheet. You can set the row and column, and the starting position will be adjusted and shown in the page layout preview (as shown below). We are printing for 18 clubs in this example below, starting on row 5, column 2.
Demo Club Label Best Practices
When deleting a demo club from your inventory, the deleted demo club's label will become invalid and no longer scannable.
When printing labels for the first time or creating a new label template, always test a label or two before printing your entire inventory. This way can:
Test to ensure the barcodes scan appropriately on the mobile app and shop computer scanner
Verify the font is legible.
When printing labels for clubheads, a sticker on the top of the head might be unsightly. As an alternative option is to create a booklet or scan sheet (that includes all labels for clubheads) that can be placed near your shop's scanner.
It is recommended, at a minimum, to put your club logo on the barcodes. This way, if the demo club is left at another course, they know who to contact.
When using laser or inkjet printers to print labels, put a seal on the labels to ensure that the ink is not washed away.
