Prices are based on the current retail price, condition of the item, external third-party data and historical data we've collected from selling similar items. We take this data and make a recommendation to the seller. The seller can decide if they want to take our recommendation, or set a different price. Additionally, prices may vary based on market dynamics such as changes in availability, seller-driven pricing decisions, and the overall competitive landscape. Each seller has the autonomy to determine the price of their item, which can lead to variations even for the same product model.

Tools to Monitor Pricing

GoodBuy Gear offers features like price drop notifications and email subscriptions to stay updated on pricing changes. Use the “Get notified if the price drops” option on a product page or join the email list for exclusive updates and deals.

If an item doesn't sell we will drop prices by 5% every 10-20 days. After 120 days we will donate remaining items to one of our awesome non-profit partners. This flexible pricing approach is complemented by our policy of no retroactive price adjustments after an order is placed, acknowledging the dynamic nature of our consignment marketplace.

Why Prices Can Change

Prices on GoodBuy Gear can change dynamically due to seller pricing, item condition, included accessories, or market dynamics. Some listings may sell out, leaving higher-priced options available for the same model, which reflects ongoing pricing adjustments.

All that being said, we are constantly refining and improving our algorithm to make sure sellers get a fair asking price and buyers get a good buy. To make the most of your shopping experience on GoodBuy Gear, utilize features like price monitoring tools, stay updated on deals, and explore detailed product descriptions to understand variations in condition and included accessories.
