How does the Budgeting feature work?

Looking to create gifting budgets for your team or department? With our Team subscription plan you'll receive access to the Budgeting feature which allows you to load an account balance to an Organization, disperse it to individual users on your account and monitor spend.

Here's how to set up this feature once you subscribe to the Team subscription plan

(Note only the Admin on an account can setup budgeting for users within their organization and only users with paid seats have access to receive budget and pay for gifts using their designated amount).

Here's how an Account Admin can setup a budget:

  1. Click on "Organization" on the top right hand corner of your screen

2. Cick on the budgeting tab

3. To add funds- click on "Add Funds"

4. Select the amount of funds you'd like to add to your organization

5. Payment can be made via credit card or by requesting an invoice *note funds will not be added until invoice is paid and funds have cleared

6. If selecting the option to "Request invoice" you will need to complete the required billing information

7. Once the invoice is paid and funds clear, the Organization's Admin will receive an email to alert them that the funds have been added to the account

8. From there you can add budget to each of the paid members in the organization (Note: only members of the organization with paid seats are able to utilize the budgeting feature)

9. Budget can be transferred from the Organization balance to each individual user's account. This will allow them to pay for gifts with a set budget instead of utilizing a credit card

Funds can be transferred from the individual user back to the Organization if a balance is not able to be used or there is a role change on the team

A recurring budget can also be set on a per month or per quarter basis. Note that the budget setting utilizes the "top up" model. Ex. the user has $100 budget - they utilize $80 in the budget period, on the next recurring budget period $20 would be added to take them back to their threshold of $100 budget

Gifting activity using budget can be seen under the "Overview" and "Transaction Log" for each user on the Organization
