How to Create a Minimum Booking Value rule:

Navigate to the Revenue Management Rules tab of the Admin Portal and select "Add Min Booking Value"

Step 1: What is the minimum booking value

  • Determine the Minimum Booking Value in $USD.

    • Decide on the least total reservation amount you're willing to accept for the specified period.

Step 2: When does MBV apply

  • Date Range:

    • Select Dates: Choose a specific range of dates you would like this MBV rule to apply.

    • All Dates: If you would like for this rule to apply to all dates, select All Dates.

  • Days of the Week: Select specific days, e.g., if summer weekends are busy, pick Fri and Sat.

    • Important: At least one day of the week MUST be selected for the MBV rule to be active. If no days are chosen, the rule will remain inactive and won't affect any reservations. Always double-check to ensure you've selected the desired days before saving your rule.

  • Occupancy-Based Parameters:

    • Any Occupancy: Choose Any Occupancy if you would like the rule to be active irrespective of occupancy.

    • Select Occupancy: Implement rules based on occupancy. For instance, you can make the rule inactive until occupancy reaches the desired settings. In which case, the rule will be active.

Step 3: Which Main Offers are affected

  • Decide which main offers the MBV rule should apply to. This ensures that only relevant offers are influenced by the MBV.

Step 4: Save and Name:

  • Assign a unique name to your MBV rule and save it. Remember, the rule's name should be distinct from other Revenue Optimization Rules, including Rate Adjustments and Blackouts.
