When a pet is at your facility, you can change the booking to reflect changes or corrections such as:
Reflecting the offer, pet perks and room extras actually provided
Changing the check out date if the owners picked up the pet early/late
Adding notes about the stay
Who Can Edit a Booking?
Any employee at your facility with a Goose account can modify bookings. Your customers cannot modify a booking they have made (they can only cancel).
How to Edit a Reservation
On the Dashboard, select the "Who's Here" tab.
Search for the customer name or scroll through the list to the one you wish to edit.
Choose the Edit button to open the Edit Booking page.
(Note: if the reservation is checking out that day, the button will say "Check Out")On the Edit Booking page, you can expand any of the sections to change information.
To save any information you have changed, choose the Save button on the section.
If Check-Out Date is the current day, you can choose to check out the room/date now. Alternately, choose close to return to the dashboard without checking out the room/date.
What to Watch for When Editing a Reservation
Changes you make in one section can affect the selections in another. Examples include:
Changing pet weight: the previously selected offer may no longer be usable for the pet.
Changing dates: the previously selected offer may be unavailable due to capacity or minimum booking value rules on the newly selected dates.
Changing offer: one or more room extras or pet add ons may not be bookable with the newly selected offer.
Changing the boarding offer: changes it for all days of the reservation.
Adding or removing a room extra: adds or removes it for all days of the reservation.
If a change has affected another section, a warning message displays on screen. As an employee at the facility, you can save the booking despite these errors.
What You Can Edit in a Checked In Room / Daycare Date
Once a reservation has started you can do all the following:
Adding pet details, e.g. correcting their weight, adding care instructions, etc
Changing end date (boarding only)
Selecting a different offer
Adding or removing room extras & pet perks
Correcting owner information (e.g. adding a phone number or emergency contact)
Adding notes
You cannot change the start date of a reservation after you have checked in the room / daycare date.
Changing the offer or room extras will update all dates of the pet's stay at your facility. For example, if you 'upgrade' the pet from standard to deluxe offer on night 3 of a 5-night stay, the invoice will reflect the pet having a deluxe room for all 5 nights.
Editing a Reservation with Multiple Rooms / Daycare Dates
If a reservation includes multiple rooms, you edit each room separately. You can access all of the rooms included in a single reservation from the Invoices and Payments page for the booking.
Similarly, if a reservation includes multiple dates of daycare, you edit each date separately. You can access the full list of daycare dates booked from the Invoices and payments page for the booking.
Additional Ways to Edit a Reservation
You can edit a reservation by accessing it from any of the following:
Customers > Customer Profile page > Purchases tab.
Customers > Pet Profile page > Purchases tab.
Choose View Summary for any of the reservations on the Purchases tab to open the Invoices & Payments page. You can choose Edit on any invoice that has not yet been completed or canceled.
